The Naval Group is the international design and build partner for Australia’s Future Submarine Program, playing a critical role in the construction and delivery of 12 world-leading, regionally superior Attack Class Submarines designed to keep Australia’s shores secure for decades to come.
The Naval Group approached the Nimic team needing our expertise in event filming. Their event, the design contract signing for Australia’s Attack Class Submarines, required coverage of the day’s activities and a short one-minute long video of the highlights.
Important events like these require planning and preparation – something we carry across even our smallest projects to ensure a successful outcome. We needed to get great coverage in a secure government location, with restricted accessibility, while staying out of the way of proceedings to ensure that the day ran smoothly. These parameters dictate what gear we use and how we use it to get the best results and present professionally amongst such important attendees – including the Minister of Defence, The Honourable Christopher Pyne – Chief of Defence, General Angus Campbell AO DSC – Vice Admiral Michael Noonan AO RAN, the Chief of Navy – top executives of Naval Group Australia itself and many more.
Like most things that are planned for and undertaken by seasoned professionals, the filming and edit went perfectly. The Naval Group were delighted with the end result and have ensured the design contract signing event is forever remembered as another important step in their Attack Class Submarine program.
